Before you begin, please install the CD-Rom drivers provided if you are using Windows 98. Please check for the following when it is still not working:
- Make sure that the USB cable is not faulty.
- Check to see if the power for the MP3 player is turned on (only some model).
- Check to make sure the USB cable is properly inserted into both your MP3 player and also to the computer USB port .
- Connect to another USB port on the same computer.
- Connect to another USB port on another computer.
- Make sure you are logged on as the Administrator before adding any new hardware or software to your computer. A common cause for the player not being recognized is incorrect drivers or no drivers installed. Install the drivers from the product bundled CD-ROM and try again. For Windows ME and above, simply plug & play and the MP3 player should be recognized by your computer.

- MP3 (MPEG 1 Layer 3): It is an audio compression format that enables files to be compressed to 1:12 of their original size while maintaining their original sound quality. (corresponds to 128..112 kbps for a stereo signal).
- WMA (Windows Media Audio): It is a Microsoft's music file compression format and has the same quality as MP3 with twice the data compression rate (22:1) of MP3 (12:1).

- Certain audio files (.wma) will not work on the player due to some Digital Rights Management (DRM) or Copyright issues. Please use legal download for all audio files (MP3 & WMA).
- Incorrect file format or compression rate is used for that song.
- The audio file might be corrupted, please use another song and try again.

If you use Windows NTFS format to format the player, the above mentioned error might occur.
- You may use Windows FAT, FAT32 or FAT16 to re-format the player again to recover the player back to normal working condition.

The capacity of the device is reported using decimal numbering system
1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes
1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes
Both Windows and Macintosh operating systems use the binary numbering system, which results in a lower reported capacity. Therefore, a device with 256MB memory capacity will only be displayed as 249MB in Windows properties.

- Go to Windows desktop and double click on "MY COMPUTER".
- Right mouse click on Removable Disk and select Properties.
- When Removable Disk dialog box is displayed, click on Hardware tab (see diagram below)

- Select the aigo USB device that is connected and click on Properties button.
- Next, click on Policies tab and select Optimize for performance option. (see diagram below)

- Finally, click OK button.

If the USB MP3 player is connected to your computer system, you will see a notification icon in the notification area (at the right bottom of the computer screen), which indicates the presence of a USB device. This icon enables the USB removable device to be disconnected and removed from the computer without any risk of losing data. The player can be safely disconnected from the computer only when no arrow is displayed.

1. Click once (left button) on your mouse onto the small green color icon 
2. Select the correct device (if you have more than one USB devices) to disconnect and click on Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device

3. When you see the diagram below, it is now safe to remove the USB device.

When the player is turned on, the HOLD button prevents you from accidentally turning the player ON/OFF, skipping to the next song, or turning the volume up or down. Basically - it locks all the buttons on the player. You can unlock the device by sliding the HOLD button in opposite direction of which the arrow is pointing. When the HOLD button is active, a message “KEY HOLD!” will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Please check the following:
- Does the player supports ID3 display?
- Have the ID3 mode been selected?
- Does the song have ID3 information ready for display?

How to check for ID3 Information ready on your song
1. Open Windows Explorer and select the song
2. Right click on the song, select Properties
3. When the song Properties windows appeared, click on “Summary” tab. (see diagram below)

4. Enter the information manually in the following fields:
- Title
- Artist
- Album

5. Click Apply and OK button to complete the ID3 setup process.

- Make sure that the card is properly slotted into the expandable memory card slot.
- Make sure you have the correct memory card for your MP3 player.
- Sometimes problems may occur with non-branded or low-quality cards too
- If you are having problem in writing or copying more data into your SD/MMC Card, please verify if the card available disk space is sufficient.
- The memory card could be corrupted at times. Formatting the card might sometimes help to resolve this problem. Please contact you manufacturer or retailer if problem persists.

If you are using Windows 98, please check the following:
- Make sure that the USB cable is not faulty.

Note: The below troubleshooting guide is aplicable to some models that come with Digital Audio Mangement Software
- Have the Digital Audio Manager Software installed before you begin. This can be found in the product bundled CD-ROM.
- Connect your MP3 player properly to the computer USB port using the USB cable provided.
- Go to C:\MP3 Player
- Double click on the file “stupdaterapp.exe”
- Follow the on screen instruction and start formatting
- Click OK to finish the formatting process.

- Check the connection between the player and computer .
- Check if there is free space on your player. If the memory is full, delete some of the files to free up the memory before you add more files into the player.

- Go to Windows desktop
- Right mouse button click on “MY COMPUTER”
- Select Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager
- Click on the plus ‘+’ sign beside the Universal Serial Bus Controllers (diagram below will be displayed)

Note: If you see more than one root hub, select the one that your device is connected to.
- Right mouse click on the USB Root Hub and select Properties -> Power Management
- Untick the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. (see diagram below)

- Click OK button to complete.
